Connect to a server

Requirements:

Any rooted Android or jailbroken iOS device.
I recommand using a rooted version of BlueStacks if you want to play from your computer.
You can also connect UCS with a non-rooted or non-jailbroken device by editing your router configuration, but no support is provided for this at the moment.
Please note that UCS has been tested with a few devices and some connection issues may remain.
With an Android device:
Download and install Hosts Editor
Add a new row:
Hostname: gamea.clashofclans.com
IP Adress: address of the computer running UCS (example: 192.168.1.12)
With an iOS device:
Open /etc/hosts file (can be accessed with iFile)
Add a new row:
Hostname: game.clashofclans.com
IP Adress: address of the computer running UCS (example: 192.168.1.12)


Start the game:
Ensure you meet all the requirements, then just start the game normally.

Fixed issues
Login failed error has been fixed. You should now be able to login without completing game tutorial on Supercell servers.
rev 1: Major connection issue due to obfuscation process has been fixed. Server should not freeze after pack 10101 anymore.

New features
Players, clans and chat messages are now persistent in server memory. This feature is transparent for players, but is a prerequisite in order to save game progress in the future (ie collecting gold, improving buildings, building troops, etc.)
In memory data is now dumped to database (SQLite) on a regular basis. Server loads saved data on startup.
Added some clan features for testing purposes.

Known issues
Main game actions (collecting resources, moving buildings, etc.) are still ignored by the server. However, server architecture being now ready, next versions will be focused on that part.

Fixed issues
CPU usage related to thread loops has been fixed
Major connection issue related to non-Bluestacks Android devices has been fixed. It"s not necessary anymore to reinstall CoC after a connection to UCS.

Introducing iOS compatibility! (special thanks to plynote for his help)
Old unsafe code (pointers) has been removed (special thanks to rcs from cocdevteam forum)
Broadcasting has been introduced to synchronize data between players (ie. general chat messages)
Players can now join an existing clan
Players can now search for clans

Initial resources values on village creation can now be set in a config file
Game content is dynamically loaded in server memory from server csv files
Client automatically updates with custom content (ex: csv) built from server content files

Major "login failed" error preventing user connection is fixed
Buildings no longer duplicate when players don"t have enough resources to build

Construction time is properly managed when building/upgrading village
Client game graphics can be replaced with custom content
Improved static game content management (csv files data)
Traps are now properly upgraded and saved
It is now possible to upgrade rows of walls

Known issues
Troops, heroes, and spells upgrades are not saved
