2010年時，Google 為 Android Market 現已更名 Play Store 採取了24小時退貨策略。這一策略可以幫助用戶避免衝動消費，但同時也讓一些應用開發商敬而遠之。之後，Google 將 Android Market 的退貨時間降至15分鐘，引來了不少消費者的不滿。儘管Google 宣稱，大多數退貨仍按照舊的策略時間進行，但仍有許多用戶表示，15分鐘退貨時間太短了。國外報導，兩名不滿 Google 新退貨策略的用戶 Dodd J. Harris及Stephen Sabatino將 Google 告上了法庭，指控Google 違反了隱含保證，並“侵犯了商業和職業條例，進行不公平和欺騙性交易行為。
Harris表示自己在去年12月份時，花費4.83美元購買了 Learn Chinese Mandarin Pro 應用，但在使用了20分鐘之，發現該應用並沒有像宣傳中所說的運作。而Sabatino表示自己在1月份時，花費4.99美元購買了BitTorrent客戶端——aBTC，但使用了一個小時後，發現應用無法下載文件。但遺憾的是，他們都錯過了退貨時間。
Harris及Sabatino表示，用戶們正在被誤導，誤認為在 Play Store 上的應用都在正常工作，兼容所有Android手機，並將會按照宣傳中所描述的那樣運作。訴訟中，Harris及Sabatino表示，蘋果和亞馬遜均不會在親自測試前就將應用投放入市場，但Google 在抽取30%的同時，也忽視了這件事情。最後，這兩位用戶聲稱，Google 在知道許多應用無法運作，或者無法像在Play Store上所描述的那樣運作的情況下，仍讓用戶幾乎不可能退貨。
目前這兩位用戶正在加州尋找購買了 Android 劣質應用的受害者，以及律師和律師費。
