Sony Mobile has just confirmed that Android 4.3 for the Xperia SP, Xperia T, Xperia TX and Xperia V will start to roll out from the end of January/early February. We have been inundated with emails about the update for these handsets. Obviously this has also been seen through comments on this blog, with people understandably frustrated by the lack of news from Sony, particularly after they expected the update “from December”.

This was recently exacerbated further when the certified Android 4.3 firmware updates were removed by the PTCRB, leaving people wondering just exactly when it will arrive. At least, Sony has given everyone a new official ETA, with the company confirming it is “making final preps” to the rollout. We’ll keep you posted with any further news.
