Here we find a way to root the LG Optimus 2X Android 2.3.4 Gingerbread by using the Recovery ClockworkMod. LG Android Phones

To install the Recovery ClockworkMod have to flash the file to your phone using nvflash. This procedure is not difficult but it has a risk if we do well. LG Phone Problem and Solution
Here are step by step:
Step 1:
Download the LG Optimus 2X ClockworkMod nvflash recovery:

http://www.putlocker.com/file/8AEB04D4C151FD10
Download the root file (SU303.zip) and place it in Extenal_SD card or Internal_SD card (It makes no difference where you put it on):

Step 2:
To install the drivers on you PC:
Extract the contents of Rysty’s.rar (you just downloaded) to C:\\\\\\\\O2x\\\\\\\\NV
Then remove the battery on your LG Optimus 2X.
Hold Vol. Up / Down, then plug the USB cable to the phone and connect to the PC.
After that you also have to install drivers APX. You can do this by right-clicking on the “APX device”, choose Update Driver Software and then browse to the drivers, you select the directory where you put the drivers, and then install it.
Step 3:
Windows 7/Vista:
Navigate to the C:\\\\\\\\O2x\\\\\\\\NV folder, double click the script called «flash-recovery». If you have an external SD-card (which, if you have followed the instructions, is resting on your table) press 2, if not press 1.
Windows XP:
If you have an SD-card, double click the “install_external_xp” batch-file, if not double click the “install_internal_xp” batch-file.
The LG Optimus 2X will display a Software-upgrade-screen, while the command-window will inform you of the progress. After a little while it’ll be finished and you can press any key to exit. (Now, where’s that ‘any’-key again?) Just to be safe, wait another 10 seconds before removing the usb-cable from the phone, cutting its power. Now install the battery and the sd-card again.
Step 4:
Hold volume-down while pressing the power-key. Do not let go of any of the keys until you see an LG-Logo with a bluish halo. Now you should be in the regular ClockworkMod. Choose «Install Zip from sdcard» (by navigating to it with the volume-buttons, then select it with the power-button) then «choose zip from sdcard». Navigate to where you put SU303.zip, select it and confirm. After a short while it’ll inform you it’s done. Press back-button, select «reboot system now.»
Step 5:
Now go the market and install and run «Busybox installer» by Stericson. Grant it root access when it asks, accept all the default settings, dismiss the warning-screen and confirm that you really want to do it. Voila, you’re done. You can now do all the things you usually do, like restoring Titanium Backups etc. LG-Optimus info
